In high-traffic, high-volume loading dock environments, with a constant rush-hour of Yard Jockeys and trailers maneuvering blind spots and tight dock positions, workers in the dock approach (to deploy a trailer stand, say) face great risk. It was a tragedy in such an environment that prompted a customer to approach Ideal Warehouse Innovations for help in adopting a policy of no foot-traffic in the dock approach.
