A major safety policy upgrade, being implemented at many organizations, is to eliminate foot traffic in the busy and hazardous loading dock approach. The Ground Mounted Trailer Support (GMTS), featuring loading-dock-of-the-future automation, offers an extraordinary solution.

Trailer stands, so important in the prevention of trailer collapse, typically require a worker in the dock approach to deploy/retrieve the device.

The GMTS’s patented innovative design has the unit permanently positioned in the dock approach, in a retracted state. Like a low-profile speed bump, the incoming trailer passes over the retracted device. When the cab detaches and departs, with a push of a button from inside the dock, the GMTS rises to meet the underside of the trailer in a matter of seconds.

In high-traffic, high-volume loading dock environments, with a constant rush-hour of Yard Jockeys and trailers maneuvering blind spots and tight dock positions, workers in the dock approach (to deploy a trailer stand, say) face great risk. It was a tragedy in such an environment that prompted a customer to approach DockStar’s partner, Ideal Warehouse Innovations, for help in adopting a policy of no foot-traffic in the dock approach. Their story inspired our innovations team to create our No Boots on the Ground® product line, new trailer collapse prevention options that can be deployed without setting foot in the dockyard.

A global food and beverage manufacturer partnered with DockStar Industrial to modernize its Florence, SC facility by replacing outdated dock doors and a failing leveler with durable, energy-efficient equipment built for reliability. From site prep to final welds, DockStar handled every step with precision, safety, and long-term performance in mind.

DockStar Industrial designed and coordinated a custom 200-foot overhead security cage netting installation for a high-bay warehouse server storage facility, delivering secure containment and efficient project execution.

When Unified Resources needed to create functional office space inside an active warehouse without sacrificing valuable operational square footage, they partnered with DockStar Industrial for a fully customized prefabricated warehouse office solution. The project called for a large-scale modular office buildout that would provide multiple private offices, a conference room, and a break room—all while maintaining warehouse efficiency and minimizing disruption to the existing facility footprint. DockStar designed and supplied a complete in-plant office system tailored to the customer’s operational needs, creating a modern administrative workspace inside the warehouse while preserving critical storage and workflow areas.
