Commander: Soft-Sided Shelter
The Commander soft-sided shelter is a resilient design to handle lift gates and other specialty trailers to resist damage from off-center trucks. The Commander has fully impactable side frames and allows for full access to the trailer. The header is a rigid frame that is peaked to prevent snow and water build-up and covered with translucent fiberglass to allow the light in for the loading area.
Features & Options:
SHELTER HEAD CURTAIN:
Choice of many heavy-duty fabrics and Pleat wear flaps on each side at truck contact areas.
SIDE CURTAINS:
Same fabric as a head curtain. Extra wear area on the bottom of curtains at critical truck contact areas.
FOAM EDGE:
Fabric covered foam strip on the leading edge of side curtains for a snug fit against trailer sides.
GUIDE PATCH:
18oz yellow guide patch that is 12” tall and is placed 9’ on center for accurate truck positioning.
BOTTOM DRAFT CUSHIONS:
Foam filled to seal off the bottom of the shelter. Independent of side curtains for an easy and economical replacement. “NO STEP” printed on the cushion for safety.
HEAD FRAME:
2” x 6” Pressure treated lumber, peaked at the center and is covered with translucent fiberglass to allow a lighted loading area.
SIDE FRAME:
Foam filled side pads, high-density full memory foam with 2” x 6” or 8” wide pressure treated backboards.
DECLINE OR INCLINE:
Tapered dock shelter projections are available to accommodate decline and incline approaches.

Pleats
Pleats provide extra protection on the face of the dock seal. Choice of vinyl fabric weights of 22 oz., 40oz. or Hight Tear Abrasion (HTA)
Pleats can have an exposure size of 4″, 8″ or 16″
The F- Series curtain is designed to accommodate dock door openings starting at 9′ and can accommodate varying truck heights. The header is constructed with a galvanized steel pipe across the top of the curtain, along with tie-back straps hold the curtain in place. Pleats with 8″ exposure come standard on the corners of the F-Series header.
