The Ultimate Pallet Jack Protector

Protects the pallet jack
The wheel-encasing design of Foot Guardian keeps debris—like small pieces of wood or other loose materials—from getting lodged in the wheels. By preventing debris from interfering with wheel operation, it helps reduce the risk of long-term damage, reducing maintenance and ensuring smoother handling. That protection extends the equipment’s service life and keeps it functioning reliably.
Protects the operator & bystanders
By encasing the pallet jack’s wheels, Foot Guardian helps prevent accidental injuries to the operator’s feet in case of wheel rollover, creating a shield at the point of contact. This design also safeguards nearby bystanders by minimizing the risk of a load falling or a wheel rolling over stray objects. In essence, it forms a safety buffer that guards both the user and people around the pallet jack.
Protects the load
Debris under the wheels can destabilize a load, risking tipping or uneven movement—Foot Guardian mitigates this by blocking such debris from coming into contact with the wheels. By promoting smoother, obstacle-free movement, the load stays steady and secure while being transported. This helps maintain the integrity of stacked goods and reduces the chances of damage or accidents during transit.
Easily install the self-adjusting FootGuardian® to encase exposed pallet jack wheels, ensuring full steering range and immediate protection for operators and bystanders alike.

Pallet Jack Safety

What’s so special about the “FootGuardian® device”? We designed a pallet jack foot guard that improves operator safety and diverts debris from the pallet jack’s path. In addition to preventing injuries, our device also helps you avoid loss of time and production. “FootGuardian® device” is constructed of 5lbs. of welded steel plates that easily attach to the post between the wheels with a mostly universal mounting bracket. The guard provides additional foot protection with 3/8 of an inch of carbon steel between the foot and the wheel. The simple attachment prevents the foot from touching exposed pallet jack wheels.

DOCKSTAR

Does this feature offer any advantages beyond safety?

Safety is its primary purpose; however, it also assists in diverting debris away from the wheel and path for smoother operation and reliable travel. In addition to the confidence and peace of mind it provides the pallet jack operator, FootGuardian® also reduces the risk of bystander injuries by shielding against wheel rollovers and preventing sudden load shifts. By minimizing debris interference, it helps prevent loads from tipping over, protecting valuable goods and avoiding costly disruptions. Beyond the immediate cost of an accident, companies face lost time and reduced productivity—FootGuardian® mitigates these risks by decreasing both employee and bystander injuries while keeping operations running smoothly.

Will this product work with any model of pallet jack?

The FootGuardian® device attachment is available as a retrofit for virtually all manual pallet jacks. The FootGuardian® device is designed to fit virtually all standard manual pallet jacks that are in use today. We made the FootGuardian® reusable and transferable for virtually all manual pallet jacks so that you can save money while adding an extra layer of protection for your employees!

How do injuries from manual pallet jacks differ from those cause by powered pallet jacks?

The injuries caused by manual pallet jacks are like those caused by a powered one. The foot does not know the difference once a thousand pounds are on it. However, most powered pallet jacks tend to have guards, whereas our product is the first solution for manual pallet jacks. The objective is to protect the employee’s foot in a similar manner as in powered units.

Is it easy to install on any model of pallet jack?

The FootGuardian® device quickly and easily attaches to most brands of manual hand pallet trucks. The FootGuardian® device can be installed in under 5 minutes. Mounting a specially designed collar clamp to the steering mechanism provides improved protection at most angles (flat, slight inclines, and slight declines) and under most load conditions operates on inclines and declines. The FootGuardian® device is also transferable. When the pallet jack is replaced, simply detach the guard and place it on the new manual pallet jack.
