Rigid Dock Shelter
Perma Rigid Dock Shelter is constructed with a wide range of cover fabrics that is suitable for even the heaviest traffic application. All lumber frames are pressure treated, translucent fiberglass stays sewn into the face curtains plus a foam edge on both vertical side curtains maintain constant pressure against the truck for positive weather protection. Light transmitting panels on the top and side frames permit good visibility for safe loading. Perma Pleats on the head curtain and extra wear areas on the side curtains add durability at the critical truck contact points.
Features & Options
HEAD CURTAIN:
Choice of many heavy-duty fabrics, all with fiberglass stays and Perma Pleat wear flaps on each end at truck contact points.
SIDE CURTAINS:
Same fabric as a head curtain with fiberglass stays. With extra wear area on the bottom of curtains at critical truck contact points.
FOAM EDGE:
Fabric covered foam strip on the leading edge of side curtains for a snug fit against trailer sides.
GUIDE PATCH:
Guide patches are 4″ wide by 12″ high made from 18oz safety yellow and placed 9 ft. on center for accurate truck positioning.
BOTTOM DRAFT CUSHIONS:
Foam filled to seal off the bottom of the shelter. Independent of side curtains for an easy and economical replacement. “NO STEP” printed on the cushion for safety.
HEAD FRAME:
2” x 6” Pressure treated lumber, peaked at the center to prevent snow and water build-up and covered with a translucent panel to allow a lighted loading area.
SIDE FRAME:
2” x 4” Pressure treated lumber covered with a translucent panel for a safe, lighted loading area.

PROTECTIVE STEEL BUMPERS:
Factory painted steel channel bumpers to protect the shelter frame.

Pleats
Pleats provide extra protection on the face of the dock seal. Choice of vinyl fabric weights of 22 oz., 40oz. or Hight Tear Abrasion (HTA)
Pleats can have an exposure size of 4″, 8″ or 16″
The F- Series curtain is designed to accommodate dock door openings starting at 9′ and can accommodate varying truck heights. The header is constructed with a galvanized steel pipe across the top of the curtain, along with tie-back straps hold the curtain in place. Perma Pleats with 8″ exposure come standard on the corners of the F-Series header.
