A Modern Sales Experience

DockStar Industrial is seeking motivated Summer Sales Interns who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in sales, customer service, business development, and day-to-day business operations. This internship is designed to provide exposure to multiple departments while giving interns real-world sales experience. Interns will help support incoming leads, assist with customer needs, gather project information, work within our CRM system, and support the sales team throughout the quoting and sales process. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, eager to learn, and comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email.

Our Sales Internship Program

  • Serve as a first point of contact for incoming sales leads and customer inquiries.
  • Gather key project details and identify customer needs before passing qualified opportunities to outside sales representatives.
  • Provide professional and responsive customer service throughout the initial sales process.
  • Assist outside sales representatives with project information, follow-up, site visit coordination, and quoting activities.

  • Use prospecting and lead-generation tools such as ZoomInfo, LeadLander, and other platforms to identify potential customers and opportunities.
  • Assist with lead research, prospecting, and account development.
  • Participate in cold-calling exercises and gain real-world experience speaking with prospective customers.
  • Work with sales, marketing, operations, customer service, and other departments to better understand the full customer and business lifecycle.
  • Assist with special projects and process-improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
