To modernize the building’s storage system, the association partnered with DockStar Industrial, working directly with sales manager Jason Tyner to design and implement a durable solution that would improve security, ventilation, and long-term reliability for residents. The project involved the demolition of existing storage cabinets and installation of new powder-coated wire mesh tenant lockers across multiple storage rooms within the building.

DockStar proposed replacing the aging wood storage cabinets with modern wire mesh tenant storage lockers designed for durability and improved security.
Key features of the system included:
- 60 individual wire mesh storage lockers
- 3′ wide x 3′ deep x 7’6″ tall units
- 10-gauge welded wire mesh with 2″ square openings
- Powder-coated gray finish for durability
- Single hinged doors with padlock capability
- Ventilated mesh construction to prevent moisture buildup
Each locker was designed to provide secure storage while allowing air circulation and visibility, helping property managers maintain a safe environment in shared storage spaces. 387317-00 DOC015
The project also included demolition of the existing storage cabinets, jobsite mobilization, dumpster service, lifting equipment, and full installation of the new lockers across all four floors of the building.
Installation and Execution
Installation was carefully coordinated to minimize disruption to residents.
The project included:
- Removal and disposal of the old wood and wire storage cabinets
- Preparation of storage rooms for the new system
- Installation of 15 lockers per floor across three storage areas
- Alignment and anchoring of the wire mesh locker system
By structuring the installation in phases, DockStar ensured the work could be completed efficiently while maintaining access for residents when possible.
